Announcing its upcoming debut in Costa Rica, Hilton will continue its expansion across the Caribbean and Latin America with the Maravé Manuel Antonio, LXR Hotels & Resorts. Slated to become the largest mass timber structure in Costa Rica upon completion in 2029, the retreat will span 40 acres of tropical splendor at the threshold of a rainforest ridge and 650 feet of Pacific beachfront. “Costa Rica represents a key growth market for Hilton, with strong demand for high-end, nature-immersed travel,” says Pablo Maturana, vice president, development, architecture, design and construction, Caribbean and Latin America, Hilton. “With Maravé Manuel Antonio, LXR Hotels & Resorts, we are introducing a distinctive luxury retreat inspired by the spirit of Manuel Antonio.”
Ensconced in lush greenery, Costa Rican firm Carazo Arquitectura will craft the seven-story resort in response to the natural topography of the setting, while Chicago- and Merida-based Curioso will design interiors with natural stone, warm wood finishes, and expansive glass walls that promote indoor-outdoor living. The onsite beach club will serve as the central social hub spanning multiple pools, oceanfront dining, signature bars, beach and pool cabanas, and more. In addition to dual open-air culinary concepts, the MARAVÉ Speakeasy Bar will beckon with an intimate convivial experience as well. Serenity will be permeated across an expansive spa, wellness sanctuary, and fitness center all ensconced in nature. A total of 173 accommodations will also be offered including guestrooms, suites, and fully furnished branded residences.
