Suomi Design Works and DMAC Architecture & Interiors have unveiled their design for five Lakeside Cabins at the Streamsong Golf Resort in Bowling Green, Florida. Slated for a full completion in January 2027, the luxe cabins will offer an upscale enclave tucked away in sweeping sand dunes. The design will draw inspiration from the local prehistoric landscape of Bone Valley, bridging the primal, untamed nature of the setting with the technical precision of golf. “We wanted to embrace the scar tissue which often contains the most meaningful moments ‘unwritten’ in a place’s collective memory, resulting in a landscape that feels both primitive and modern,” says DMAC principal and founder Dwayne MacEwen, who crafted the modern architecture.

Conceived as restorative sanctuaries, each expansive cabin will accommodate four-bedroom suites across modular interiors that reference the materiality of golf clubs. “Interiors are designed as a physical expression of the golfer’s journey in this unique landscape,” says Suomi DesignWorks principal Michael Suomi, “shifting palettes and textures to reflect sand, grasses, water, and rusty tones of the industrial mining past, ensuring the off-course experience is as intentional as the game itself.” Woods will imbue an arboreal palette of richly grained, tactile surfaces, while streamlined modernist pieces defined by clean lines and subtle metallic finishes will echo irons. Wedges will also manifest in the form of textural elements reminiscent of a sand trap alongside minimalist moments of quiet drawing upon the calm of a green. Durable wallcoverings, flooring, and carpeting will abound in mudrooms as well as sociable living areas, large kitchens, and even playful spaces anchored by bespoke billiards tables.
